Note: Bright CME visible to the SW in SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1 imagery. This CME is not visible in STEREO A COR2 imagery due to a data gap starting at 2026-04-13T14:38Z. The source appears to be a filament eruption visible beyond the SW limb in GOES SUVI 304/284 and SDO/AIA 193/171/304/211 starting around 2026-04-13T17:45Z followed by moving/opening field lines to the SW in GOES SUVI 284 and SDO/AIA 193/171/211. Potential candidate Active Regions that have since rotated beyond the limb include AR 14405 estimated to be around S28W152 and AR 14409 estimated to be around N01W140.

Parameters based on potential source area with a wide range of uncertainty due to limited stereoscopic viewpoints of source location and CME. These parameters assume the source began near Active Region 14405 (S28W152), however Active Region 14409 (N01W140) also provides a fit using SOHO LASCO C2/C3 and GOES CCOR-1 imagery with speeds closer to 500 km/s. |
